First, understand what the measurement covers
Miniu’s listed size is the longest dimension of the complete piece. It is not always the standing height from feet to head. A straight standing pose may be height-led, while a seated character, extended arm, wide base, horizontal pet, or large accessory can make width or depth the longest side.
Two figurines both sold as 10 cm can therefore stand at different heights when placed together. The number defines the maximum overall format used to prepare the piece, not a fixed proportion for every body and base.

These are starting prices for a simple single-subject figurine in a cute or general stylised direction. The app calculates the final amount from the style, number of people or pets, interactions, full-body or bust format, and other details.

A larger model grows in three dimensions
Moving from 10 to 15 cm is not simply a matter of adding five centimetres of material. Width and depth increase with height, affecting resin volume, printer space, supports, the base, and finishing work. This is why large-format prices do not rise at a fixed amount per centimetre.
The extra space can help facial features, hair, fabric patterns, glasses, fingers, and accessories remain separate and readable. It cannot recreate information absent from the source image. Use the photo selection checklist before relying on size to solve a reference problem.
Let the number of subjects guide the decision
One person
Four or six centimetres can suit a simple solo model where the intended look is cute rather than realistic. Choose 8 cm when hair, clothing, glasses, or a hobby object is part of the identity. The 10-15 cm range is better suited to detailed display pieces and more demanding designs.
A couple
Two people share the available physical space for faces, clothing, and interaction. Eight centimetres is a sensible comparison point; 10-12 cm gives more room for an embrace, a pet, flowers, or a shared accessory. A family or larger group
As the group grows, each face occupies a smaller part of the model. Ten centimetres can suit an uncomplicated arrangement, while 12-15 cm leaves more room for placement, approximate relative height, clothing, and connection between people. Ask for a custom quote when the family is large, the scene is complex, or the available people appear in separate source photos.
A pet

Full body and bust formats use space differently
On a full-body figurine, the head occupies only part of the total length. A bust gives a much larger share of the same format to the face, hair, shoulders, and upper clothing. It can therefore make facial information easier to read without showing the complete pose, outfit, or footwear.
Miniu supports realistic full-body designs from 8 cm, but faces at that size remain softer. Consider 12 or 15 cm when a realistic full-body face is a priority. A bust may be a more efficient choice when recognition matters more than the full pose.
Match the format to its future display
- Desk or compact space: 4-8 cm is easy to place among everyday objects.
- Bookshelf or main gift: 8-10 cm remains manageable while reading clearly from a short distance.
- Display cabinet or collection: 12-15 cm provides stronger presence and more room for a complex composition.
- Corporate project, special scene, or anything above 15 cm: use the custom quote form to assess structure, pricing, and production.
Before ordering, place a ruler where the figurine will live and mark 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 15 cm. Those differences may look modest on a phone screen, but a 15 cm display piece occupies a very different visual space from a 6 cm desk figurine.

- How many subjects share the piece? More people or pets divide the same physical area and usually benefit from a larger format.
